The lights and gauges are going crazy. Once you stop somewhere, it will not restart without a jump nitefate did you ever figure out the problem with yours? I have spent a fortune on this bin at the mechanic shop, replaced battery, alternator, starter, gauge cluster, and checked all grounds. Still not working.

Hi James,

I have seen this problem before, but I need to ask if a CAN scan has been done?

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/can-scan-controller-area-network-easy

If so, it should point towards the IPM (interrogated power module) which is easy to replace because it-self learns so there is no programming necessary. Please check the images below to see how the job is done and to fix the problem. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Yeah, I’m in San Antonio and my mother is in Midland Texas. She has the car at an automotive shop already spent $2,500.00 on it more than the car is worth just trying to keep from having to go down there pick it up and fix it myself at some point though I have to stop the bleeding they’ve already replaced the battery the alternator the starter instrument cluster. I think they’re just parts changers rather than diagnosing the problem what does that part typically cost?

I believe there are about $150.00 from the dealer, or you can try to get a used one which will help you save money. Please let me know.
