I have a lifter noise when starting my car. I tried a couple of things to see if it got quieter but is the same.How would I find which lifter it is?

Unfortunately there is no easy way of determining which one it is. Plus once you are there, you always just replace all of them because once one goes they all will follow so you don't want to go in more than once. Take a look at the attachments which will give more detail.
