In the process of replacing the timing belt, something happened or something moved and we can't get the timing marks on the belt to line up with the ones on the cam gears. how do I start all over and get everything in time?

Put the engine no.1 piston on its compression then line the cam and crank markings as you see in the book then slap the belt on.
