The car runs great, but the engine light stays on. When I asked about this lexus states to turn my car off while refueling, they said this may cause the problem. By the way, I don't refuel while the car is idling. Anyway, I disconnected the battery for about 5 mins and it went out for 2 days, but returned. What's the deal?

THE REASON YOUR LITE CAME BACK ON IS CAUSED BY A TWO TRIP LOGIC, WHEN YOUR ENGINE ECU MONITORS
ALL THE SENSORS ON YOUR VEHICLE IT TEST SOME TWICE @ A SPECIFIC THRESHOLD, BY REMOVING THE MEMORY POWER FROM YOUR VEHICLE DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY YOU RESET THE ECU LEARNED VALUE AND MONITORS
NOW THAT YOUR MONITORS HAVE BEEN TESTED SOME OR MULTIPLE SENSORS FAILED
IM GOING TO GUESS AN A/F SENSOR OR AN O2 SENSOR FAILURE
HOPE THAT HELP
