2001 Lexus RX 300 error codes

I was driving last week when codes popped up on dash. Check Engine and then VSC and Trac Off. Took it to my mechanic and he put computer on it but nothing showed up and he cleared the codes. Drove it the rest of the week and this morning the same codes popped up. Was wondering, could it be faulty gas cap?
