1999 Lexus RX 300 Clunking/Popping noise when I turn the wh

I have a 1999 Lexus RX 300...when I turn the wheel - I hear a popping/lunking noise in the front of the car. It started doing it occasionally and when it was wet out..now it is more frequent. It also appears to happen more when I have my foot on the brake.
