I am the owner of a Lexus IS 250 bought it May 2006, it has 20.000 kms and had only one service.
For some time now I am hearing a rattling noise which lasts for 2 seconds when I press the engine start button. The engine always starts so I do not have a starter problem but sometimes this annoying rattling noise is there. an average of 1000 starts i have heard this niose on about 90 starts .usually when the car has not been used for 3-4 hrs, then I hear this noise but I repeat Its not always its unpredictable. I have recorded the voice as I thiought this would help the Lexus garage to understand whats wrong as it might not do it for 2, 3, 4 days and maybe it wont make the noise when will be checked in the garage of lexus.
Any clues ?
