Hello

REMOVAL:
Raise and support vehicle. Remove front wheel.
Remove front brake caliper. (see caliper removal below)
Using screwdriver, remove grease cap. (see fig. 1). Remove snap ring. Loosen 6 flange mounting nuts.
Using a brass bar and hammer, tap on the 6 bolt heads. Remove 6 cone washers, plate washers and nuts. (see fig. 1). Remove the flange and gasket.
Using SST (09607-60020) ,or equivalent, remove lock nut. (see fig. 2). Remove lock nut washer. Remove adjusting nut and thrust washer.
Remove hub and disc rotor together with outer bearing.
Using slide hammer, remove inner oil seal. Remove inner bearing.

INSTALLATION
Repack bearings with MP grease. Coat inside of front hub with MP grease.
Install inner bearing into hub. Install new oil seal into hub using SST (09950-60020) and SST (09950-70010), or equivalent. Coat oil seal lip with MP grease.
Place front axle hub with disc onto spindle. Install outer bearing. Install thrust washer and adjusting nut.
To adjust bearing preload, tighten adjusting nut to 43 ft. lbs. (59 Nm) using SST (09607-60020) (see fig 2)
Turn hub right and left 2 or 3 times. Retighten adjusting nut to 43 ft. lbs. (59 Nm) using SST (09607-60020). Loosen nut until it can be turned by hand.
Using SST (09607-60020), or equivalent, tighten adjusting nut to 48 INCHES lbs. (5.4 Nm). Ensure bearing has NO play.
Using a spring tensions gauge, measure turning preload. (see fig 3) Preload, at STARTING, should be 6.4 - 12.6 lbs. (28 - 56 N) If not, readjust bearings.
Install NEW lock washer. Install lock nut. Tighten lock nut to 47 ft. lbs. (64 Nm). Ensure axle hub turns smoothly and that bearings has no play.
Using a spring tension gauge, measure turning preload. (see fig 3) Preload, at STARTING, should be 6.4 - 12.6 lbs. (28 - 56 N). if not, readjust bearings.
After final bearing adjustment, secure lock nut by bending over one tang of the lock washer inward, and another tang outward.
Install new gasket onto axle hub. Apply MP grease to inner flange splines. Install flange to axle hub.
Install 6 cone washers, plate washers and nuts. Tighten nuts to specifications (listed below)
Install a bolt in the axle shaft and pull outward. Install a NEW snap ring on end of axle shaft. Remove bolt.
