1992 Lexus LS 400 Reverse lights

When I step on the brake pedal, the R(Reverse) LED lights up on the control panel and my reverse(Backup) lights does not turn ON.

Check if the turn signals and taillights are affected when the the brake pedal is depressed.

From the symptom description, the rear taillight ground circuit is most likely not good. Clean the rear taillight ground circuits and retighten and retest.

The taillight ground circuits are wires bunched to clip and bolted onto the body via a 10 mm hex bolt.

Remove the bolt and use sandpaper to scrub away any paint or rust.
Retighten the bolt and wire and retest.
