Brakes problem
2005 Lexus GX 470 V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

When the vehicle is stopped and the foot is on then brake pedal, the pedal keeps going to floorboard. The concern is will the vehicle stay stopped if pedal sinks to floor board????.

Hi there,

If you have no brake fluid leaks, this will be a faulty brake master cylinder, what it is doing is it is by-passing fluid past the primary cup seal and allowing the pedal to drop, normally if you hold heavy brake pressure it will not drop as quickly as light pedal pressure.
