I am currently in the process of replacing and repairing the Electronic Throttle Position Sensor and wanted to know if replacing this sensor with a non-lexus sensor will fix the problem. I ask this due to the fact that when I had to replace the o2 sensor, I bought a part from my local autoparts chain and this part did not fix the problem. In order for me to get the check engine light to remain off I had to replace this senor with an actual Lexus bought o2 sensor.
