2003 Lexus ES 300 Check Engine Light

I got a check engine light last week while driving. On
checking the code at our local Advance Auto he tells me that both Upstream O2 sensors were showing bad. At $200 plus each this is kind of making me wonder if there could be something else contributing. Is this normal for them to go out in pairs? If I replace them will the computer automatically reset and the light go out?

IT would be helpful to have a scope to watch that patern of the o2 sensors before condemning them. I've seen two sensors go bad in the front before. Most often one goes bad, then after replacing it the other one shows bad as the values are compared to each other.The light should reset after driving and the monitors runs it's test.
