2002 Lexus ES 300 AC shuts off intermittenly

Air Conditioning problem
2002 Lexus ES 300 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The Ac will run fine for awhile and then shuts off. It will turn back on after hitting the Ac button a few times and then run for another 10-20 minutes before shutting off again. Blows cold when running. There are no leaks. Pressures are 45/150. It won't take any more refridgerant. 134a system.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Does entire system shut down? fan, compressor clutch,cooling fans ? Does display panel go out ?

Actually, the Ac light on the dash board starts blinking and then the warm air comes through. I'm thinking it might be the relay switch or something like that. I'll hit the button a few times and then the unit will start cooling again. It comes and goes like that on a regular basis. Yes, the whole system shuts down when the light starts blinking.

Your system is computer controled the blinking light means a fault has been detected. The computer is self diagnostic so haveing it scanned will show the problem
