My 1999 ES300 has been giving me idle problems it started intermitent now it is getting worse. How can I trouble shoot this? I think it is the Idle air control valve but I am not sure. If it is where is it located an can I change it myself?

Yes it most likely is.You will need to remove th ethrottle body off teh intake, it is held on th ebottom of it by 4 phillips screws. you will also need a new seal for it, so get that before you take it apart.Remove the IAC and clean it out with carb cleaner, let it soak if need be.The design is know for getting gummed up and sticking.
