1997 Lexus ES 300 Driver side brake caliper.

Driver side caliper do not come back after the brakes are pressed resiulting the rubbing with the disc and heating the whole wheel assebling and wearing of the pads. Please let me know what could be the reason. The brake caliper was assembly was changed last year due to the same problem.

Hi there,

i feel the problem is with how the calliper was o/hauled, the only thing that releases the brakes when the brake pressure is released is the flexing of the caliper seal, it may be a problem with the external dust boot, it will have to be dismantled and inspected carefully, the piston should slide into the calliper with easy finger force (two thumbs pushing) if it is not, the seal may be the incorrect one and to tight,
