With a cold engine and transmission I am noticing a lag between second and third shifts. I have plenty of acceleration until it shifts into second gear then the car lags. It does not try to stall or seem to have any problem other than no matter how much you press the accelerator the RPMs do not rapidly increase. Once it slowly reaches the RPMs to shift out of second, it shifts and I regain normal accelleration. However this problem only occurs when the engine and transmission are cold, otherwise they perform normal.

A transmission will slip when the friction & steel clutch packs wear out. unfortunately the only fix for that is a new transmission
