Is it possible if the break booster is out or not working properly is it possible only one side of my breaks would work? How exactly would I know it's not working?

Is it possible if the break booster is out or not working properly is it possible only one side of my breaks would work? Check the brake booster turn ignition switch off pump the brakes to exhaust the vacuum-hold it in and then start the car, the pedal should drop slightly if the booster is working-check the ABS unit, combination valve and master cylinder
