I bought the above vehicle for my son. I know that it is an old vehicle but shouldn't it get more than ten miles a gallon? Can you tell me how I can get better gas mileage?

For a 4 cylinder engine, yes it should get much better than that. I suggest doing a tune up of the vehicle. Spark plugs, wires, all filters, fluids. This should get the vehicle running much better which means it will take less fuel to perform. If you can't afford a full tune up, I suggest just changing the air and fuel filters to see if this will help. May also be bad oxygen sensors but this will normally throw an engine code.

Hope this helps..
