1993 Lexus ES 300 Fuel pump

1993 Lexus ES 300 V8 Front Wheel Drive 172400 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
This car will start and drive approx. 1/2 mile then stop and won't start. Afgter sitting for a few days it will do the same thing. Could this be a bad fuel pump. If not whaot else could it be?

you need to install a fuel pressure gauge and actually read the pressure or all we are doing is guessing.
