1993 Lexus ES 300 6 cyl Automatic
Have a 1993 Lexus ES300. Originally had air get into my brake lines because there was a split in the driver's side brake line causing all the fluid to leak out. It seized up the caliper. The car sat for approx 7 months before beginning to fix it. The driver's side front caliper and brake line was replaced. Took it to a mechanic to bleed the lines by a pressurized machine. The mechanic told me that I needed a new master cylinder and that was the problem. They replaced the master cylinder after researching the issue. After only 2 weeks of minimal driving, the same caliper seized up causing a burning smell, the car to drag, and the brake petal becoming hard to push down. I immediately pulled over and got it directly back to the shop which was less than 2 miles away. My mechanic is giving me the run around. I am beginning to wonder if I really needed a new master cylinder to begin with? What else could be the issue if it has a new caliper, brake line & master cylinder?
