LED bulbs

Trying to source LED bulbs for the vehicle listed above, wagon but all the Vitara bulbs are listed as not compatible with my model. Doesn't make sense to me that a 5 door wagons bulbs are different to a 4 door but apparently they are.

You need to search for a conversion kit. More then likely the reason they are not stating they fit your vehicle is they did not actually test it on them. You are correct that there should not be a difference but they don't want to claim it fits if they have not tested it or cannot confirm that the vehicle is the exact same so they know it will work.
