My battery is completely dead. I can not open the vehicle with the remote or the key. I believe this was caused when jumping a friend last week. He hooked up the battery cables backward, and I immediately noticed smoke and disconnected the cables. I disconnected the cables (they were connected for about 3 seconds) and didn't notice any issues at the time. My immediate concern is how to get into the vehicle. My second concern is what issues this might have caused.
