1998 Other Land Rover Models Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Ok about a week agao my ("lady")Landrover started displaying a message " the bonnet is open" and she started making a clicking noise and this week I cant go over 40 miles an hour or afas as the nearest traffice light in my neighbor hood before starts over heating. Please help me with her.... the husband wants to sell her!

have the car plugged into a diagnostic computer to retrieve fault codes from cars computer and repost with codes
