1997 Other Rover Models No start

I have a Land Rover Discovery SE with a 4.0i V8 and it will crank and wont start! But when i spray Starting fluid into the throttle body it starts and choke for a minute and then runs fine! It pops and hickups then runs!

Hi there,

Air flow meters are a big problem with these engines, have this checked out first.
