Engine Cooling problem
1997 Other Rover Models 6 cyl Manual 77125 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a V reg Rover 416i E. The engine overheated (not showing on the temp guage on the dash) and kept cutting out.

I discovered that the 4 way water hose had split and replaced it.

Much to my disappointment, the engine is still overheating (now showing on the temp guage) and cutting out.

Can anyone advise me as to why this could still be happening please?

Thank you.

PS I'm a female with very limited knowledge when it comes to car maintenance/repairs. I would be very grateful if any help/advice could be in very simple 'layman's' terms please.
