AC Switch is broken

The switch appears to have a short in it. It has to be in just the right spot for it to work. Speeds 1 and 2 are pretty easy to find, but 3 and 4 are very tricky and will generally only last about 20 seconds or so. Less if you hit a bump in the road. How easy is this to fix?

A/C-HEATER CONTROL PANEL
Removal & Installation (Front)
Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove radio. Release radio bracket clips. Remove radio bracket. Remove coin tray. Remove A/C-heater control knobs. Remove A/C-heater display panel screws. Remove display panel. Remove A/C-heater control panel screws. Remove A/C-heater control panel. To install, reverse removal procedure.
