i took my freelander in for a routine service, and was informed that the engine has an external oil leak, and internal coolant leak.

i was asked how attached i am to the car ?

its going to be a $10,000 repair job !!!!
alternatively you could trade it in for something else !!!

i'm flabbergasted !!!!

any advice

thanks

If the coolanrt leaks internally, it could be head gasket, head waped or cracked, or a water jacket, less common. I recommend a second opinion! An engine for an English patient such as yours probably can run that much!
