2002 Land Rover Freelander Four Wheel Drive Automatic 120000 miles

I am looking to buy a Land rover Freelander td4 2.0ltr Automatic, year 2002. Does this model have a "timing chain" as i was told??(by the seller!) I am not sure? In the case of it being a timing belt and if there is no recorded history of the belt being replaced... i should walk away from the sale!

the 4 cylinder freelander is BELT driven .. you could replace the belt if there is no history of it being replaced ?
