2000 Land Rover Freelander lack of power

a freelander came in the work shop for a problem in which the coolant was mixing with the engine oil.... ...on disassembling the engine cylinderhead it was observed that the head gasket was the source of the problem..... the head gasket was replaced and reassembled and started but now the customer complains of a lack of power or no kick down...... can someone tell me what can cause this????

check the timing is set correctly .. it may be a tooth out ?
