2000 Land Rover Freelander Door lock

My driver door will not unlock, the central locking system opens all other doors, the key will not unlock it, I have removed interior panel , with great difficulty with door shut and am still unable to unlock it , any suggestions please!

pull on the unlock button lever whilst trying to open the door with handle !
