2003 Land Rover Discovery Locked Steering Wheel

My Landrover is parked with the Steering Wheel locked in a totally upside down position. When I unlock and insert my key, the steering wheel won't release. The last time this occurred it was after parking and leaving the steering wheel in an upside down position locked. Help!

spray a little WD40 down the ignition barrel .. insert key ..use a rocking backward and forward motion on steering wheel (slightly turning left to right) whilst turning the key in the ignition ..
