engine won't start after new pump installed

hi, I have just replaced the fuel pump in my land rover discovery TD5 2002, but the car wont start, could you tell me why this is and what I now have to do to get my car started?

start by checkinh the Inertia Fuel Cut-Off On left side of firewall
