when starting my suv, i get clicking noise instead of starting, have new battery.
is this the starter motor or the alternator.

check the wiring to the starter motor .. if this checks OK ..TAP/HIT the starter a few time with a hammer and attempt to start vehicle if this does not work .. replace starter
