my svc light has been on fo a week now...my car smells like sulfer after being on the hiway, and the svc engine light blinks when i speed up too fast. i am thinking its the caalytic converter and i am in a state that doesnt have emissions issues...can i punch out the converter or do i have to replace it? i was told that if it has a front and rear senser i have to replace it, or it will run badly. is this true?

you will have to replace the cat i'm afraid the cars computer relies on readings from the sensors to control engine running conditions !
