Lack of take off power. With heavy throttle especially low speed it dogs and chugs. I'm pretty sure it's the coils or ICM. Any other thoughts? Maybe a crank sensor?

Hi,

Before replacing anything check to see what diagnostic trouble codes are present. Most parts stores will do it for you.

A misfire can be caused my many different things. You are correct that a bad coil, ignition module, and so on can be the issue. However, the first thing I recommend is to first scan the computer to identify which cylinders have the misfire. Once that is identified, then I would remove the coils, plugs, and so on to see the conditions of each.

As far as a crank sensor, yes it can do this, but usually they will either work, not work at all, or be adversely affected by heat causing the engine to stall.

If you could, have the scan done and let me know what you find. At that point, I will know the best way to direct you. In the interim, here is a link you may find helpful. Take a look through it to see if anything helps.

Also, take a look through this link in case the light is flashing:

Let me know what you find as far as codes. I will watch for your reply.
