It just started rattling when I start it. Only rattles for two to three seconds until oil psi comes up. Runs about 70 psi oil. Oil recently changed, level okay and oil is clean. Recently had power steering pump replaced. New plugs, cap rotor n wires in Feb this year. Water pump replaced about seven years ago. Serpentine belt good. Does not burn oil, exhaust clear. New jets January this year, had one leaking. Replaced and oil changed right after. Changed again in March.

Hello,

Engine knocking is not good. It is usually a sign of slop in your connecting rod or main bearings. This is happening because they are probably getting worn out. As soon as the oil gets to them they smooth out. The bearing in your engine have a thin film of oil that they ride on and lubricates them from going metal to metal. Bearings and the crankshaft are precision components that require this lubrication. Any amount of play with these bearings is bad as they are measured in the thousandths of an inch.
I have included a link below for you to go to.
