My vehicle listed above AWD EX started making knocking sound on bumpy roads from the driver's side front wheel. Also, the front used to vibrate at speeds of around 25 to 30 mph and goes away when I accelerate. I replaced both front Sway Stabilizer Bar End Links. The vibration remained the same and the knocking sound went away for less than a week but then returned again with now strong knocking sound from the same area on bumpy roads and now also when making left turns or slight left adjustments on straight roads. The knocking sound is less or not heard when turning at a very slow speed. Sometimes you hear a knock when I sit in the driver seat but not all the times. No knocking sound when I make any right turns. Please note that the car has newer tires and the brakes and rotors were replaced a few months before this situation developed.
What do you think is the issue hear? I read about Ball Joints, CV Joints and Tie Rods. Please advise.

Hello,

It sounds like it could be a strut or a CV axle. does it make the noise when going in a straight line going over bump or only a turn? Also does it matter if you are accelerating? Can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? that would be great. You can upload it here with your response.

Hi Ken, thank you for your reply. It makes the knocking sound when going straight on a bumpy road as well as when making slight or full left turns. Also, the knocking sound does not go away with acceleration. I get vibration at steady speeds of around 25 to 30 mph and that goes away when I accelerate.
It would be difficult to make a video as I don't drive the car now.

It sounds like the CV axles are worn or you have a strut that is falling apart internally. Here is a guide to help walk you through the repair with diagrams below to show you on your car:

I also included how to replace the struts as well. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Ken, thank you so much for your help and all the useful information. Amazingly, it turned out to be a loose strut screw that just needed tightening and the knocking noise is gone. I really appreciate your assistance.
Have a great weekend!
