When slightly turning the wheel there is a knocking sound

I had a wheel bearing go out a few months back and was just now able to replace it yesterday. After replacing the wheel bearing the grinding noise went away, but now when I slightly turn the wheel I can hear this knocking sound. not exactly sure what it is and also whenever I am driving on the interstate an get up to around 70-80 MPH the vehicle feels like it’s wobbling like when your driving with high speeds of air and it makes your car wobble. what could this possibly be?

Good morning,

When you replaced the bearing, what did you torque the nut at for the axle shaft?

Did you verify all the bolts are tight at the hub itself? If it did not do this prior to the repair, then it has to do with the repair.

2. Install the hub and bearing assembly bolts.
^ Tighten the hub and bearing assembly bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.).
3. Connect the ABS sensor harness connector from the retaining bracket and wiring harness.

Fastener Tightening Specifications
Drive Axle Nut First Design .................... 385 Nm (284 ft.lb)
