Knocking noise from the back end of the car

When driving i hear a loud knocking noise from the back end of the car. can that be a bad tire or something more major?

Hey TINA PHILPOT,

Worn out suspension components are the most likely cause.

Also a loose wheel can cause this.

First thing to check is that your wheel nuts/bolts are tight.

After this you will need to check the rear suspension for play to find worn components.

Does it only knock over bumps?
