I have this knocking, not a clicking noise, behind or above my glove box. It happens randomly. When I turn the car on or just when I am driving. It doesn't matter if AC or heater is on it is just a random knocking. Lay fire a couple seconds? I am sure it is an actuator but have no clue for sure. Any help would be great.

Yes it does sound like a blend door actuator. If the HVAC system is off does the noise still occur? You need to be able to have the car make the noise so you can see where it is coming from. Here is a guide that can help:

Please let us know what happens.

Hi Ken,
Ya it happens when the ac, hot air, recirculating air or when everything is off. But I pulled the plug out of what I think is the blend door actuater behind the glovebox and so far no noise. So I think I found my culprit. Well I hope I did. I will keep you posted then I buy a new one. Thanks again Ken.
