When selecting a gear there is a small knock sound, when the gear is selected and I take up drive there is a knock as well

First, is it loud enough for you to record and upload for me to hear? If it is, please do that so I can hear it.

Next, when a CV joint/axle fails, often times you will hear a clicking sound when turning or putting a load on it. Take a look through this link and see if it seems to mirror what you experience:

Also, have you checked to make sure there are no worn or broken bushings on the steering components or suspension components?
