This is what ALLData has on the 2.4L Hybrid Malibu knock sensor. The non-hybrid options are 2.0 and 2.5, so let me know if this is the right one or not.

See picture. item 5 should be the same other side of engine. Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

it is on the front of the motor lower side by the oil filter. there are 2 sensors there. one is the oil pressure sensor and the other is the knock sensor.
