I recently replaced the engine in the vehicle listed above. The check engine light showed a knock sensor code. The new refurbished engine has no port for a Knock sensor. The old engine has the knock sensor located underneath the intake manifold. The new engine does not have a port. Is it possible that the engine does not use a knock sensor? If so, how do i remove the check engine light or is the port located somewhere else?

If the old engine has a knock sensor and the replacement does not install the knock sensor onto the wiring harness and try to bolt it to the engine somewhere. Here is the location of the stock sensor. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
