I am looking in to purchasing the vehicle listed above. It looks to be in really good shape, but the seller says it needs a knock sensor. Should I avoid this vehicle? What problems would I encounter if I got this vehicle and replaced the sensor right away?

Okay, Why are you replacing them? Are there codes for the sensors? Were there other codes as well?
The intake manifold has to be removed to gain access to the sensors.

I read the post. I am trying to get a background to see if there is a history.
I would not purchase this vehicle until this issue is resolved by the seller. This may be the reason it is being sold. Otherwise, it is your headache.
