I would like to replace my serpentine belt on my 2006 kia sportage. I was able to get it loosen the belt but cant seem to get it off the automatic tensor. What kind of tool and what size do I need to buy to replace the belt myself? Where can I buy this tool and how much would it cost?

The tensioner rides on a pivot. You should be able to loosen it enough with a box wrench to remove and replace the belt. There are special tools that can be purchased, but before getting one, check the local auto store and see if they have one. Here is a guide to help you step by step with instructions in the diagrams below to show you how on your car.
