Engine Cooling problem
2001 Kia Sportage 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
----------------------------------------------------------------
I recently bought a used 2001 Kia Sportage, about 3 months ago. The temperature guage has been holding steady at just under half. Now that the weather has warmed up here in AZ, the guage has been hitting 3/4 or more. Thiis happens after only 3 or 4 miles. I have checked the coolant level, and it is full. The coolant does overflow to the overflow bucket and sucks back up as it cools off. The radiator fan does come on, now sure when, but it is running when I get out to check it. Is this normal? At what point do I need to worry about this creating MAJOR problems? Where do I start?
