Transimmion won't shift into overdrive and has truble starting they said that the computer won't read any codes and that the chip was out on the transmission does that sound right if so is it both the ECM and the ecu help please

Hi there,

I doubt that this is correct, i would say that the reader is not up to the task, often cheap generic reader wont interface with ECU's fully, you may have to get a factory read to get the full picture, start here.
