2000 Kia Sportage Shifting

Hello, When first started my Kia shifts fine from 1st to 2nd, but doesn`t want to shift from 2nd to 3rd. But, if you start it and let it warm up for a few minutes it will shift fine all the way from 1st to 3rd. Any ideas?

start by checking fluid level and condition !!
