I just has new rear shocks put on, and now the car is having trouble driving forward. Are they related issues? What area of the car is having trouble if it is difficult to drive forward but okay to drive backward?

Hello,

Replacing the rear shocks and not being able to drive forward should not be related.
Was there any other service performed?

So, when you put it in drive what happens? Does it seem to engage? Does the vehicle move at all?

You mentioned the reverse work, does that engage normal and go backwards as usual without any hesitation or noise?

Are you able to put it in L or 2? Do they engage?

This issue could be due to a malfunctioning shift cable. It could also be due to internal failure of the transmission.

Please let me know a little more information.
Thank you.
