Engine Cooling problem 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a '98 Kia Sportage with a bad heater core. I know you can bypass the heater core for a temporary fix, which is what I want to do so we can use the car until we can afford to replace the heater core. But, I cannot find the heater core hoses. I tried looking under the dash on the passenger side. I know they should be coming out of the firewall, but I do not see them. I also could not find them from under the car or under the hood. Do I need to remove the evap unit to access the hoses? Where can I find these hoses?

There will be two 1/2 hoses headed from the firewall you must remove them and connect them with a small fitting or pipe and two hose clamps. Then refill the system and you are good to go.

This guide will give you an idea of what you are in for

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
